Billing and trial
How much does Liftrung cost?
Downloading Liftrung and logging workouts and food are free. AI food scanning is paid: $4.99/week, $7.99/month, $29.99/year, or $99.99 once for lifetime. Your App Store shows the final price in your currency.
What is free, and what is paid?
Free: the workout log, the food log (search and barcode scanning), progress gems, Apple Health sync and data export.
Paid: AI food scanning, from a photo or a typed description.
How does the 3-day free trial work?
Monthly and yearly start with 3 days free. You are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Yearly is $29.99 after the trial. Weekly has no trial, and lifetime is a one-time payment.
How do I cancel?
- Open iPhone Settings.
- Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Tap Liftrung, then Cancel Subscription.
You can also get there from Liftrung: Settings → Manage subscription. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I paid, but the app still asks me to subscribe.
In Liftrung, go to Settings → Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID you paid with. Still stuck? Email us.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Nothing is deleted. Everything you logged stays in the app. AI food scanning stops at the end of the period you paid for.
Does lifetime include future features?
Lifetime unlocks what the paid plan includes today, AI food scanning, for as long as Liftrung offers it, with fair use. We do not promise features that do not exist yet.
Privacy and your data
What happens to my food photos?
When you scan, that one photo is sent through Liftrung's server to Google's Gemini to identify the food. Nothing else from your log goes with it. Photos are not part of your data export. The privacy policy has the details.
Does Liftrung use my Apple Health data?
Only if you allow it. Liftrung can read workouts, steps, heart rate, sleep and body weight, and can save your weight. Your data is never sold or used for advertising.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Delete account. Step-by-step instructions, and what is and is not deleted, are on the delete account page.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Settings → Export my data → Export now saves everything you logged as a JSON file. Liftrung also keeps automatic backups in the Files app.
Do I need an account?
Yes, everyone signs in, on the free plan too. Use Sign in with Apple, Google, or a code sent to your email.
The app
How accurate is the AI food scan?
It is an estimate, like any photo scan. Liftrung shows what it found before you save, so you can fix a food or a portion first.
Can I import from Strong, Hevy or MyFitnessPal?
Not yet. Liftrung can restore its own backups, but it cannot import from other apps today.
Does it work offline?
Yes for logging workouts and food. Signing in, AI food scans and barcodes that are not in the built-in database need a connection.
Is there an Apple Watch app?
Not yet. Workouts recorded on your Watch can reach Liftrung through Apple Health.
Which languages and devices?
The app is in English and Hebrew, on iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Android is not available yet: join the Android waitlist.
